Somewhere in between our Ice Event 2011 and today's forecast of 31 degrees and more snow, we were blessed with a rare, gorgeous January weekend. We all knew it was a tease, but hey, we weren't complaining about 72 and sunny on a Saturday...in January! So we took advantage of the day, left the laundry at home and headed to Zoo Atlanta! We'd been waiting for months to take Jack since he's obsessed with animals now so this was the perfect opportunity.
Jack had a blast! But after the novelty of the animals wore off, he honestly had more fun just running around, playing in the dirt and climbing on benches. As long as he had fun we didn't really care what he did. We had no agenda so we just leisurely walked the park, rode the train and played in the kids area. It was simply awesome to be out in the fresh air with my family on a lazy Saturday afternoon. We took a lot of pics but I won't bore you with too many lame animal pics. But I thought you would all enjoy the pics of my very own Grizzly Bear -we affectionately call him Christian.
