Jersey Boy

Jack is obsessed with his clothes.  And he is very particular about what he wears and when.  School clothes are for school only.  When he gets home from school he immediately changes into clothes that he can tackle daddy in...usually sweat pants and a Carson shirt (I will explain later).  Gone are those cute and colorful matching PJ's - he only wears shorts and t-shirts to bed now.  And nice clothes - well let's just say there are a lot of tears shed when he has to wear them.

Ok, so this is the one thing I thought I would never have to deal with by having a boy.  But nooooo, I get the one kid who tells me every day what he wants to wear and if I don't oblige it's WWII.  So gone are the days of cool Cali beach wear, button up shirts, khaki's and polo shirts.  They have all but been replaced by leisure wear or otherwise known in our house as Carson clothes - usually consisting of warm up pants, basketball shorts, under armor shirts and any CARS shirt he owns.  Jack's cousin Carson in Chicago has this same clothing issue and lives in comfy clothes. And since Jack adores Carson he now only wants to wear clothes like him.  So, there ya have it!  I've lost Jack to the world of athletic leisure wear!  Hopefully Gavin will still have some style.

Currently Jack's latest leisure wear obsession is "The Jersey."  According to Jack, jersey's aren't just for the playing field anymore.  And thanks to our family in Chicago and NYC, he has tons of them. So you can imagine his joy that this was Super Bowl weekend and "The Jersey" was appropriate to wear all weekend long.  Oh well, I can't fight it so I will just have to go with it!  Here's Jack and my other boys enjoying the sports-filled weekend attire...

Friday at school was Jersey Day!  They could wear any jersey they wanted and Jack picked this one...

On Saturday he wore the jersey AND the matching pants....and all their shiny goodness!

Superbowl Sunday!!  Of course he wears his FAVORITE jersey here....

Even little Gav had to join the action and wear something sports-related.  PS: Daddy dressed him that morning...

All my boys in their Charger Gear!  Two more men and I'll have my basketball team...
