Gavin James is 5 Months Old!

Gavin James turned 5 months old on Tuesday!  So this blog is a little late, but that's the story of our lives these days. Christian and I both had a really busy month with work travel so there was a lot of juggling and craziness in the house.  So I feel like Gavin's 4th month just flew by and our little newborn is now a bouncing baby boy.  He changed so much in just a few weeks!

Case and point....when I left for Florida last week Gavin had one tooth, was sleeping on his back and was only eating rice cereal. When I got back, he had another tooth and two more on the way, he's now sleeping on his stomach and his daddy snuck some sweet potatoes into his diet....which, of course, he loved!  And this past week we've added peaches, pears and mangos.  The kid is gobbling it up and I swear I can already see the chub coming on. He LOVES all this new food.  I wonder how he'll feel when we introduce veggies?!

He also loves showing off his new tricks - rolling all over the floor, grabbing at his toys and his feet, playing with big boy toys and talking to himself out in the mirror.  He's such a happy baby and as long as he's fed and rested he's as content as can be.  I spend so much time with him since I'm working from home and I am so lucky he's such an easy baby.  Sometimes my schedule is a little crazy but he cooperates with me so I can get my work done and still have time to play with him. He's my little buddy.

So I've saved the best news for last....our little nugget if FINALLY sleeping through the night...every night!  It's been a few weeks now and it's absolute heaven!  He went from waking up 1-2 times night to sleeping 12 hours straight!  Can I just tell you how amazing it is to get a full nights sleep every night.  I forgot how important sleep was.  The energy in the house has definitely shifted and everyone is much happier.  Thanks Gav!

Here are some recent pictures of my sweet, sweet baby boy.  I definitely missed this little face while I was traveling. I certainly don't like leaving him and Jack but it's part of the job and if I have to go, I am so fortunate to have amazing friends and family who help Christian out while I'm gone.  It just makes me appreciate my hubby and boys that much more.  Life is crazy but I still feel really lucky to have what I do!

First time in the Johnnie Jumpie....

I love this smiling face...

More smiles...

Cold chillin watching the tube...

Check out how big he's getting!  He's still solid as a rock but I can see a few rolls starting to form...

I love my feet...

Enjoying baby food....I believe those are pears all over his face...

Happy Boy! You can really see his 2 teeth here...
