Dylan at 6 Weeks...All Smiles!

Our little miss turned 6 weeks today and it has been a very eventful day with her!  So I just wanted to update everyone on what she's been up to.  She's just finished a growth spurt so the past few days have been rough  - she ate round the clock, didn't sleep well and was so crabby.  Needless to say we were all exhausted this weekend but I knew once the growth spurt was over she would sleep.  And I was right.  Last night she pulled her first all-nighter and slept from 9pm - 5am!  It was heaven and she was such a different baby today - so sweet and happy!  It was a great start to the week.  I just hope this trend continues.

I swear when I got her up this morning she looked liked she had grown a bunch!  So I weighed her and in my estimation she weighs about 12-12.5 pounds...which means she gained about a pound and a half in the last 2 weeks. And her 3 month clothes fit rather snugly so I went and busted out her 6 months clothes just in case I need them soon.  This girl is growing like a weed!  She's seriously the carbon copy of Jack.  I can write an entire post about how alike they are....maybe I'll do that soon!

And last but not least, I finally caught her chubby face smiling on camera.  She's been grinning and half-smiling for about a week but I never had my camera handy.   But today she was so happy and these were the biggest smiles yet so I can honestly say these are her first real smiles.  She loves to lay on her changing table and smile at the pictures on the wall.....just like her brothers did.  Then she turned and smiled at me and Gav so I grabbed the camera and shot away.  It was beyond precious!!  There really is nothing better in the world than to see your baby's first smiles. It really makes the exhaustion of having a newborn worth it!  So here are a few pictures of her just being fat and happy...

I seriously can't get enough of this picture!  She's so darn chubby and cute.  And that expression on her face is priceless.  Love her!

I love dressing her up but I'm really not into the super-frilly girly stuff.  That's why I loved this outfit because it's simple and sweet.  You can't tell, but those are cream jeans.  So impractical yet so adorable!

I love watching her sleep.  Her long fingers are always pointed...

I don't like tummy time...

But I love laying on my back and playing with my friends...

All smiles for mommy and Gavin...

Happy Girl!  I love my little sweetie pie...

I also got a great video of Dylan smiling and talking to me.  It's 3 minutes long but so worth a look...
