Jack's Sports - Basketball and Soccer

After his 4 weeks of T-Ball, Jack had a month each of Basketball and Soccer.  He finished up last week so we have our Saturday mornings back.  Well, I should really say Christian because he was the one who mainly took Jack to class.  I only had to go a few times because honestly it just wasn't fun trying watch Jack, take pictures, chase Gavin around, all while holding Dylan.  But I did love seeing Jack out there having fun and being active.  And I know he really loved that one-on-one time with his dad.

Jack did a great job at all three classes.  He was always the first in line and listened to the coaches very well.  He did goof off a little but he is only 4.  Whenever we asked him which one he liked the best he said whatever one he was playing at the time.  So it's hard to tell what he really loved.  Christian and I both thought he was best at basketball but it really is too soon to tell what he will excel at.  The plan is to sign him up for t-ball in the spring so stay tuned.  In the meantime, here are pictures from basketball and soccer...

Ready for basketball mom!  Gav had to wear his work-out gear just like his big bro...

Always first in line!  And just a little bit taller than the rest of the kids...

He shoots....and he scores!

He's such a happy and joyful kid!  I LOVE him....

Showing off his new tricks....

Dylan is 5 Months Old!

Out little Sweet Cheeks turned 5 months old on Sunday!  She continues to be such a precious gift to our family.  It's safe to say we are all a bit obsessed with her.  Christian and I fight over who is going to hold her and play with her.  And the boys absolutely adore her - they both hug and kiss her all day long.  They also think that making her smile and laugh is the greatest thing in the world.  I don't think there is anything better than watching the boys play with Dylan and then having her smile back at them.  She's starting to really love her big brothers.  Having a baby girl in the house has really brought out the softer side in everyone....even our wild boys!

I mean, it's really difficult not to adore this child.  She's so ridiculously sweet and delicious.  And she just gets more fun and adorable the older she gets.  She loves to laugh and talks up a storm.  She's even getting better at playing by herself...which is awesome for me because I can finally put her down and get stuff done around the house.  She still prefers to be held the most but we're making progress.  Baby steps, right?!

We are also making some advances in the motor skills area.  I'm happy to report that she doesn't hate tummy time any more!  She doesn't love it yet, but she tolerates it for a few minutes and I can actually get a smile out of her.  I honestly thought I would never see the day!  She's also trying to roll over.  She hasn't been able to flip that chubby body over yet but at least she's trying.

Speaking of chubby, Dylan is still growing at a rapid pace.  She grows out of her clothes so fast, I am having a hard time keeping up.  But I do love shopping for her!  Girl clothes are just too cute.  She's probably going to get bigger now because our little porker is eating solids!  We fed her rice cereal for the first time over the weekend and of course she loved it.  She cleans her bowl every time and seems so content afterwards.  And I have found that she's a lot happier during her normal witching hour - she definitely doesn't cry as much as she used to and I am so thankful for that! We're planning on giving her some sweet potatoes as a Thanksgiving treat and I have no doubt she will gobble that up!  The girl loves to eat.

There honestly isn't much that I don't love about my little girl.  She makes me so happy.  Here she is in all her sweetness...

Dylan is loving her Johnny Jumpy!  I can get a good 10 minutes out of her in here...

Smiling in tummy time!  It's a Christmas miracle...

Happy in her bumbo...

She loves her first doll!  I know Glow Worms are so 80s but she really loves it.  I wanted to get her a musical toy so I took her to Toys R Us and showed her a bunch of dolls.  This is the one she smiled at the most so I was as easy choice...

I love this face!!  She is so darn cute!  But I can't say she gets that from me because she looks more like the women in Christian's family...

Check out those abs!  I wish it was ok for 39 year old women to rock the flabby tummy like Dylan does...

Mommy love...

This girl loves to sleep!  She sleeps for about 11 1/2 hours at night and still naps for a total of 4-5 hours during the day.  I'm so lucky and I love when she fall asleep on me...

I love this picture but I just realized she looks like a member of the KKK....oops!

First time eating solids and she loved it!  Nom, nom, nom...bring on the real food!

Here's a cute video of the boys playing with Dylan in her jumpy.  Jack is making her laugh in the very beginning so don't miss that.  But ignore the jelly on Jack's face.  I swear I clean my kids!

Fall Festivities!

Autumn is my absolute favorite season!  I just love everything about it....except for that pesky time change.  I could do without that.  But everything else is fantastic.  Cooler weather, football, a new television season, fall colors, pumpkin and spice flavors, Halloween and, of course, my birthday, are just a few things I enjoy this time of year.  There's just a freshness in the air and a sense of excitement knowing that the holidays are just around the corner.  There's also so many awesome activities to do with the kiddos.  And we have taken full advantage of the fun these past few weeks.  I wish I had time to blog about it all but I have been super busy with work.  So you will have to settle for a bunch of pics...which is really all you want anyway, right?!  I mean, who wants to here me babble about my kids.  So without further ado, here are my little babies enjoying some fall festivities...

We had a perfect, crisp morning for a visit to the Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Regional Park with my family, bestie Lisa and all the little chickens....

I celebrated my 39th birthday with my boys and some delicious chocolate cake from Nothin' Bundt Cakes....my fave!!!

Pumpkin carving with dad!  The boys wanted nothing to do with the guts of the pumpkin...I wonder why?!

Dylan's first Halloween...

We squeezed in a trip to Disneyland for their annual Trick-or-Treat party!  We got to enjoy the park AND get candy.  The kids got to dress up and they loved it...

Waiting for Mickey in the parade. He was so excited!  I love the look of anticipation on his face...

Jack got down at the dance party for Monster's University!  They even got a visit from Mike and Sully...

Finally, it was Halloween Day.  Time to torture Dylan and make her dress up. I call this one "the reluctant princess..."

Costume parade at school.  Here are the boys with some of their friends...

Stroller strides Halloween Party!  Here's Dylan with her little playgroup.  I love all of these little ladies and they look so adorable!  Of course she's crying...

Trick-or-Treat time!  We had a little pre-game fun with all the kids in the hood...

We have some awesome new neighbors across the street so we went with them to beg for candy.  The kids had a blast together.  Their little girl Caitlin (Sully) is such a pistol.  Jack loves her!

Mommy and her princess!  After years of super heroes and ninja turtles I finally had the chance to dress a little girl for Halloween.  So of course she HAD to be a pink princess!  Love my sleeping beauty...

Jack is an old Halloween pro by now.  But Gavin didn't want to dress up or go trick-or-treating at first.  But as soon as he got that first handful of candy he was hooked...

They both got tons of loot!  But this year we donated about 75 percent of it to a charity that sends it to the troops overseas....
