Out little Sweet Cheeks turned 5 months old on Sunday! She continues to be such a precious gift to our family. It's safe to say we are all a bit obsessed with her. Christian and I fight over who is going to hold her and play with her. And the boys absolutely adore her - they both hug and kiss her all day long. They also think that making her smile and laugh is the greatest thing in the world. I don't think there is anything better than watching the boys play with Dylan and then having her smile back at them. She's starting to really love her big brothers. Having a baby girl in the house has really brought out the softer side in everyone....even our wild boys!
I mean, it's really difficult not to adore this child. She's so ridiculously sweet and delicious. And she just gets more fun and adorable the older she gets. She loves to laugh and talks up a storm. She's even getting better at playing by herself...which is awesome for me because I can finally put her down and get stuff done around the house. She still prefers to be held the most but we're making progress. Baby steps, right?!
We are also making some advances in the motor skills area. I'm happy to report that she doesn't hate tummy time any more! She doesn't love it yet, but she tolerates it for a few minutes and I can actually get a smile out of her. I honestly thought I would never see the day! She's also trying to roll over. She hasn't been able to flip that chubby body over yet but at least she's trying.
Speaking of chubby, Dylan is still growing at a rapid pace. She grows out of her clothes so fast, I am having a hard time keeping up. But I do love shopping for her! Girl clothes are just too cute. She's probably going to get bigger now because our little porker is eating solids! We fed her rice cereal for the first time over the weekend and of course she loved it. She cleans her bowl every time and seems so content afterwards. And I have found that she's a lot happier during her normal witching hour - she definitely doesn't cry as much as she used to and I am so thankful for that! We're planning on giving her some sweet potatoes as a Thanksgiving treat and I have no doubt she will gobble that up! The girl loves to eat.
There honestly isn't much that I don't love about my little girl. She makes me so happy. Here she is in all her sweetness...
Dylan is loving her Johnny Jumpy! I can get a good 10 minutes out of her in here...
Smiling in tummy time! It's a Christmas miracle...
Happy in her bumbo...
She loves her first doll! I know Glow Worms are so 80s but she really loves it. I wanted to get her a musical toy so I took her to Toys R Us and showed her a bunch of dolls. This is the one she smiled at the most so I was as easy choice...
I love this face!! She is so darn cute! But I can't say she gets that from me because she looks more like the women in Christian's family...
Check out those abs! I wish it was ok for 39 year old women to rock the flabby tummy like Dylan does...
Mommy love...
This girl loves to sleep! She sleeps for about 11 1/2 hours at night and still naps for a total of 4-5 hours during the day. I'm so lucky and I love when she fall asleep on me...
I love this picture but I just realized she looks like a member of the KKK....oops!
First time eating solids and she loved it! Nom, nom, nom...bring on the real food!
Here's a cute video of the boys playing with Dylan in her jumpy. Jack is making her laugh in the very beginning so don't miss that. But ignore the jelly on Jack's face. I swear I clean my kids!
