Dylan is 9 Months....and 10 Days Old!

I can't believe our little princess is already 9 months old!  We're nearing the one year mark and it's freaking me out a little bit.  I just enjoy her so much and I don't want this baby phase to end.  But the more she grows and develops, the more adorable she gets so I guess that's the trade-off.  Dylan has become so animated and playful.  Her favorite thing to do is hang out with her brothers, whether its playing with their toys, chasing them or wrestling. She loves to go outside with them and get up in all the action.  Seeing the three of them playing together is seriously my happy place.

Now that she's crawling, Dylan is all over the place.  I thought we could get by without baby proofing but she's into everything and has even made a few attempts at the stairs so I guess we need to get the gates out. And she's also starting to pull herself up.  She can pull up on our legs and is now trying to get up on the couch.  Our girl is getting mobile!  And her motor skills are improving as well.  We've noticed that she's actually playing with her toys instead of just putting them in her mouth.  We'll show her what to do and she'll mimic it.  And she just started pointing at things that she likes or wants.  It's so adorable!!

In terms of her physical development, her top 2 teeth are fully in and she's starting to get 2 more.  And she has tons of beautiful golden blond hair.  It's not so strawberry blond anymore which I am happy about.  She loves it when I comb her hair in the morning because she likes looking at her face in the mirror.  She even kisses herself - so cute!  She's still pretty tall for her age but is starting to thin out a bit.  She's only gained a pound this month putting her at 20 lbs.  She's goes back and forth about eating so she doesn't have a very consistent diet.  I'm not too worried though because she gets plenty of formula and is growing right on track.  We have her well check next week so I'll get the actual stats.

We're still slowly making strides in her attachment issues with me.  Now I can actually leave her playing in the living room while I go in the kitchen.  A few weeks ago she would have freaked out.  As long as she can see me she's ok.  And she finally started saying Mama!  It's usually when she's crying for me and chasing me through the house, grabbing at my pant legs....but it's still adorable!  We think she even says Jack but we can't be sure.  Speaking of Jack....I know I owe you a blog about the boys and I promise that's coming soon.  But in the meantime, here are a few pictures of our Lady D in action!  I love this child so much!

I adore this picture of Dylan and my mom.  My 2 favorite ladies....

Dillie loves to go outside and play with her big bro's.  For some reason their toys are way more fun than her own...

Jack is beyond sweet and patient with her.  They just have this really special bond that I can't explain...

I don't bother putting out blankets for her anymore because she just wants to crawl all over the driveway.  For some reason I thought my baby girl would always be clean and dainty but she's always a mess...

Beach day!  Apparently sand tastes yummy.  She literally ate about 10 handfuls...

I look like my daddy....who now has an adorable new hair cut!

Family time!  We love going to the beach but we don't do it often enough...

Standing up!  As you can see by Christian's reaction, we make a big deal out of milestones in our house...

Because every Cali girls needs a silver, fur vest!  I think it was about 60 degrees so I needed to bundle her up...

Such a happy girl in the morning!  This is a side of Dylan that most people rarely see because she's so shy around strangers...

A 9 month photo shoot honorable mention.  Such a big girl!  She looks just like Jack did at this age...

Bonding with her bro's...

Dylan had all of her besties over for a play date and all the kiddos had a blast!  She loves her friends and gets so happy when she sees them.  She actually loves all kids.  Here she is with Blake...

With Audrey and Henry....aka Meatball...

Tomboy in the making...

I also wanted to share a few videos of Dylan in her prime.  Like I said, most people don't get to see her happy, silly and wild side since she's so shy when she's out of her element.  But when she's home, she's just so much fun to be around.  I will tell you that both videos are about 3 minutes long but you really only need to watch the first minute of each to see what I am talking about.  Enjoy...

This first one is of her and her buddy Elmo.  It's priceless...

And here she is playing with her daddy and brother's...
