Dylan is 11 Months....and 10 Days Old!

Can it be true that our little princess is 11 months old already?!  Sadly, it's true.  One more month and she's a year old!  Oye Vey!   But I must say that I have loved this month with Dylan.  She has really blossomed and come out of her shell.  She's always been friendly with her family, but now she seems to like everyone! I swear it happened overnight - all of a sudden she just decided that people were cool and interesting.  She pretty much lets anyone hold her now and loves to play and flirt with strangers.  We've even been able to leave her with sitters and not have to put her down before we leave.  It's awesome!  She's seriously a whole new baby and I love it.

Her personality is really starting to show now.  She's so fun, active, playful and animated.  She's also really loving and sweet but if you tell her no she will turn on you in 2.2 seconds.  She's also very bossy and feisty!  Sounds a lot like a certain mama!  I guess if she doesn't look like me, at least she'll act like me.  She also seems right on target with her milestones.  I don't have a lot of time to blog today so I'll just list all of her accomplishments, likes and dislikes this month...
  • She can stand on her own for up to 8 seconds.
  • She took two steps about a week ago but hasn't done it since.  I don't think she's in as much of a hurry to walk as I thought she would be.
  • She learned how to climb up the stairs and now that's all she wants to do.  My days of leisurely chatting with the other moms at the park are officially over.  I now have to chase this little one all over the place.
  • She's also into EVERYTHING!  She loves to clear out our drawers and "help" us with the laundry by pulling everything out of the laundry basket.  She's definitely a wild one.
  • She has 8 teeth!  Four on top and four on bottom.
  • She's gained a pound since last month putting her at 22 pounds.  But she's gotten really tall and is pretty much in 18 months clothes now.
  • She says 4 new words...roll (rrrrroooo), papa (pop-pop), Elmo (memo) and book (bu-bu).  So she's up to 9 now.
  • Speaking of books....she LOVES books.  Reading is probably her favorite thing to do right now.  I love that!
  • She also loves jelly sandwiches, mandarin oranges, water, chicken, pirate booty, Mickey Mouse, the boys cars, music, dancing, being outside, being naked, wrestling on the bed.
  • She dislikes her bath, the word no, bananas, her car seat, having her diaper changed and getting dressed.
So there she is in a nutshell.  Next month I know I have to write a thousand blogs about her birthday so stay tuned.  In the meantime, here are her 11 months pictures...

This is another one of Dylan's new faces - she scrunches up her nose and opens her mouth really wide.  She cracks me up!  I wanted to add this picture so you can see her 8 bog ole teeth!

I don't get very many chances to put her in pretty dresses, but I love when I do!  She looked so precious all ready for church...

Loving her hand-me-down music table!  This girl loves music and loves to dance...

Caught in the act!  Does this remind anyone of a certain middle child?!

Ya, I'm chubby, but I make it look good!

Someone learned how to crawl up the stairs last week and she's very proud of herself! The boys are obsessed with watching her so it...

Dylan's has always had a very expressive face and this is her latest look.  She loves to play and tease us and then open her big ole mouth really wide.  I love this series of pictures because she was just so happy and silly that day...

Chocolate wasted!

I don't normally like overalls but I just thought this outfit was too cute. She kind of looks ready for a rodeo!

Happy 1st Birthday to Dylan's bestie Audrey...

Dylan and her posse at Audrey's party....Blake, Audrey, Dillie, Kerri, Sienna, Natalie and Sophia...

I had to post this one because I see a little bit of me in here....just for a moment...

Dylan's new ride!  She loves her new Baby Jogger City Mini GT...

I love her shy little smile in this one!  I just want to eat her up...

I love riding in the wagon!  Weeeeeeee.........

Jack is so sweet and loves playing with his baby sister...

Sand tastes yucky!  But I can't stop eating it...

Look at my new trick!  Now mommy needs to bring her A-game to the park or I'll fall off the stairs like I did when daddy brought me...

Watermelon anyone...

Mothers Day Pics

Ok, so I realize I am very behind on my blogging these days. I have been working a lot the past few weeks so its been a bit hectic around here.  But I wanted to do a quick post of Mothers Day pics before Christmas rolls around.  And I still owe you Dylan's 11 month blog and Gav's update.  Hopefully those will happen next week, but I wouldn't hold your breath!

We had a really fab Mom's Day celebration this year.  We decided just to chill by the pool, let the men grill up some grub while we sipped, 'er guzzled margaritas!  It was seriously so relaxing and fun.  We had Mimi & Papa, The Varela's and my BFF Lisa and her family.  Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!  And the kiddos all behaved which was icing on the cake.  They must have know that mama needed a break!

Before I share the pics I wanted to show you Jack's little performance at the Mother's Day Tea at his school.  They kids were awesome!  They sang us 3 songs, recited a poem that made us all cry and then each of them stood up and said why they loved their mom.  It was beyond precious.  Jack makes me so proud to be his mommy!  Please forgive the grainy video.  I forgot my camera so someone took this video on their phone for me...

Here are a few pictures I took on my phone.  I love these kids!  Jack has been with many of them for almost 3 years now.  They are so adorable and did such an amazing jobs for their moms!

And I also wanted to share this little gem.  A few weeks ago we saw this spectacle in our backyard.  Apparently this possum had her babies nearby and got stuck in our yard for the day.  Ok, I know this is gross but I just felt so bad for this poor mama.  She has 8 babies crawling all over her and she can barely walk, let alone climb up the wall to escape.  If someone needs a day off for Mothers Day, its her!

Mom's Day photos.  No captions...I'm too tired!.  Enjoy...

Dylan's 9 Month Pics!

Ok, so these are actually supposed to be Dylan's 6 Month pics, but seeing as how I didn't get around to them until March, they turned into her 9 month ones.  Either way, I was super excited to get her in the studio because I had some really great ideas about the shoot.  First off, I loved how both of the boys' studio shoots turned out so I had some high hopes for Dylan (my first mistake).  I also wanted to recreate some photos that I had taken around her age because I love sentimental stuff like that.  So I spent lots of time shopping for the perfect outfits, shoes, bows, etc for her and the boys.  But photo day was not a good one and my two youngest didn't quite cooperate and pretty much cried the entire time. Story of my life, right?  I was so upset but now I can look back and laugh.  These pictures will definitely be a source of entertainment in the future.  But before the chaos ensued I did manage to capture a few gems...

Here are the pictures I tried to recreate.  But seeing as how Dylan wouldn't smile or clap like I did....and she looks NOTHING like me....I didn't quite get the results I was looking for.  BUT...I still think she looks absolutely precious.  But at least she wasn't crying yet...

Awe, my Jack!  Such a happy little ham!  I always say he's never met a camera he didn't like.  Seriously, the minute they start shooting he just lights up.   I love this kid...

Another great one.  None of us even told him to cross his arms.  He did that all on his own.  Such a natural...

Before Gavin lost it, he did take a few great shots.  I just want to squeeze him!

I seriously love this face!!  And I love all that curly blond hair...

I had to throw this extra one in there because I LOVE this smile.  He always looks like he's up to something...

Oh Dylan, my poor little girl.  She was actually fine for the photos above but after that we did a costume change she got mad.  Then she just wasn't having it for the rest of the shoot.  But I ADORE her outfit and flower head piece...

A little more drama...

Ok, I'm just going to crawl away now...

And then it goes from bad to worse when Gavin joined in the tear-fest...

Poor Jack, he was trying so hard to make it work.  You can his strained smile as he tries to hold Dylan and Gavin together.  This pretty much sums up my three little kiddos.  But boy do I love them!
