Jack Jack!

With all the baby and moving news, I haven't blogged much about Jack lately so I thought I'd share a quick update on my favorite little man.  Jack will be 2 years old on July 16 and I can hardly believe it!  Where did the time go?  He knows he's going to be 2 and that we're having a big party at Gymboree in a few weeks with all of his friends - we can't wait!

Jack is getting so big - as a matter of fact I just had to replace all of the new summer clothes that I bought him in April since he had a huge growth spurt last month and now wears a 4T!  He's such a big boy and will seem even bigger when the his new brother comes. Speaking of the new baby, Jack is getting very excited about being a big brother - we pray about the baby every day and read books about being a big brother so we're trying to prepare him as much as we can.

He's loves all boy things, especially his trains and his beloved Cars.  We watch the movie every day and I'm pretty sure I can recite the lines in my sleep.  We just saw Cars 2 today and he loved it!  What really amazes me about Jack lately is his speech and vocabulary - he understands and repeats everything we say and has a memory like a steel trap.  I love having conversations with him and just crack up at the things that come out of his mouth.  He tells me he loves me and and that he misses me now, which seriously melts my heart.  He's such an awesome kid and so much fun to be around.

Since May and early June were so hectic for us, we've been trying to relax and take some time to enjoy our summer, despite the oppressive heat here in the South.  Here are a few pics of Jack doing the typical things that kids do in the summertime...

Swimming, of course.  This was actually taken in Cali when we were visiting baby Charlie at my brother's house.  Jack LOVES his uncle Jess...

Eating Ice Cream....and making a mess...

Riding bikes outside with mom and dad.  Jack is just starting to get the hang of peddling his trike so we think it's time for a new big boy bike with training wheels...

Munching on cupcakes (double-fisted!). He had wet hair and no shirt because we'd just come in from having a water fight outside...

Going to his FIRST movie in the theater to see Cars 2!  He talked about it all week and how he was going to eat candy and soda.  But he was so excited and overwhelmed when we got there that he couldn't even eat anything until half-way through the movie.  But he sat through the entire movie, only getting a little bored the last few minutes.  It was awesome...

He was so fascinated by the whole movie experience.  I love taking him to do new things and just seeing the expressions on his face. As you can see he was very into the movie...

Ok, mom, enough pictures in the theater!  I admit I can be a little over the top with the camera...
