We all know that Gav is crazy. I mean, what other kid has earned the nicknames Mayhem, El Diablo and Mor'du (the 12-foot angry bear from the movie Brave) by the age of 2. And we have all laughed out loud at one or two "Gavin stories." We all know he's wild, temperamental and loud. And he does like to hit and destroy everything he touches. And yes, he has thrown a tantrum or two. So I know some of you moms out there are probably thinking...thank God that kid doesn't belong to me. But that's just fine with me because Gavin is all mine and I honestly wouldn't change him for anything. He's constantly on the move and keeps our home full of energy and laughter. He fills our lives with pure joy. I LOVE this kid and everything that he brings to my life...good or bad.
I am with Gavin more than anyone so I get to see the side of him that most people don't. Everyone only hears about his wild side but he is so much more. He's very smart, seriously funny and contrary to popular belief, always happy. He's also incredibly loving and sweet and his smile can light up a room. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his daddy or following his big brother around. And he's even warmed up to his little sissy, constantly showering her with kisses and hugs....instead of pinches. And let's be honest, he's so darn cute! Watching the wonder in his eyes this holiday season has seriously killed me. This is the first time he really understands Christmas so its been awesome to experience it with him.
He's been cracking me up so much lately with all the silly things he says and does. I really need to start writing it all down. He's getting to be such a big boy now and wanting his independence so I felt the need to capture him while he's still technically a toddler. Because before I know it he'll be Jack's age and my baby will be gone. So I just really wanted to shine the spotlight on him for a bit and let you all see some of the cute pictures I have taken of him lately.
Gavin loves music, especially Katy Perry's 'Roar!"
Such a big boy now! He got rid of his booster seat even though he barely reaches the table. And he only wants to use big bowls and spoons. We did attempt to use real cups for a while but it was quite a mess so we'll be sticking to the sippy cups for a while...
Because milkshakes taste so much better when you are naked...
Cookies anyone?
This is Gavin's idea of "playing" while daddy hangs the lights on the tree...hammering the floor with a rubber mallet.
I was so happy to catch Gavin in a rare, precious moment of stillness...
Then he caught on to me...
And he was back to his normal crazy self...
A sweet kiss for his little sis...
And holding her hand too. He's really starting to adore her...
Baby Huey!
Their brotherly love picture...
I LOVE this this picture! This is my Gavin in a nutshell...
I took this video of the boys one night while driving home from dinner. They were just chatting away so I started taping. As you can see, Gavin loves to talk and he never stops. I just love his little voice...
