My sister set a beautiful table and we all made something delicious for the feast. Everything was scrumptious! The highlight of our day was watching Lady D eat sweet potatoes for the first time. After a week of rice cereal I know she was excited about a little flavor. She devoured it, of course! And during dinner we all expressed what we were thankful for. Family, faith and health were at the top of everyone's list and I couldn't agree more. Just knowing all I have all of these amazing people in my corner is all I really need.
I am so thankful for these four souls...
Me and my man in a rare kid-free photo...
We were so happy to have Obed's aunt and cousin visiting from New Mexico...
Obed and his mom Ofelia...
Our lovely hostess and her beautiful dinner table...
Even the kiddos got to sit at a fancy table. Too bad Jack couldn't make a fancy face...
Dylan was all smiles in anticipation of her first taste of real food...Ok, so that Thanksgiving bib has been passed down from when Jack was a baby, so I just had to hunt for pictures of the boys wearing it. Here is Jack at 4 months. You can definitely see the resemblance but Dylan has a rounder face...
And Gavin at 2 months. Its funny because lately I have been feeling like Dylan is looking more like Gav and when I look at this picture I absolutely see their similarities. But Gavin has always had such a smaller head that Jack and Dylan's giant pumpkins...
First bite! She's seriously looking at me like I'm crazy...
But then those sweet potatoes hit her lips and she was all in...
Yummo! Keep it coming mom...
Kisses from Mimi...
For dessert, Jenny let the kids decorate their own giant cookies. Obviously, Gavin couldn't be bothered with frosting...
And this is the difference between girls...
...and boys...
Yep, that's my boy...
And there's Gavin....still eating the decorations...
The final results! Needless to say, we had LOTS of tummy aches that night...
Mom and Joey, after a long day of cooking, cleaning...and drinking martini's...
Amelie, such a happy girl...
...until Gavin stole her teddy bear. Can you say "post-sugar melt down..."
Snuggles with mom after a fun, first Thanksgiving. Now bring on Christmas!!!!
